Editorial policy
Everything here is written to be checked. Every page states who wrote it and when it was last reviewed, cites primary sources rather than other blogs, and is blocked from publishing if it goes past its review date or makes a claim we do not permit. Complete Car Lease is not a dealer, lessor, or broker. We are a free service that republishes manufacturer lease offers and connects shoppers with a participating dealer.
Where our numbers come from
Market, payment, and credit figures come from primary publishers: Experian’s State of the Automotive Finance Market, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, Cox Automotive, and the leasing companies’ own published policies and fee schedules. Statutes are cited to the United States Code, not to someone’s summary of it.
We do not source figures from other lead-generation sites, dealer blogs, or content aggregators. Where a figure is disputed between sources, we say so and show the range rather than picking whichever number reads better. Worked lease math — payments, rent charges, one-pay comparisons — is computed by script, never estimated by hand.
Data tables state their own reporting period. If a table says Q1 2026, that is the quarter the data covers, and we do not blend quarters to make a table look more complete than the underlying data is.
How often we review
Review dates are enforced by our build system, not by intention. A page that passes its review deadline fails the build and cannot deploy until a person has re-checked it. Leasing-company policies — transfer rules, fees, mileage rates — are additionally re-verified at model-year turnover.
| Page type | Maximum age before review |
|---|---|
| Cost and fee data | 182 days |
| Main topic guides | 182 days |
| Question pages, scenarios, glossary | 365 days |
The date on each page is the date a person last reviewed it against its sources. We do not refresh dates to look current. There are currently 71 pages under this policy.
What we will not publish
- Any promise of approval. “Guaranteed approval” and equivalent phrases are blocked at the build level and can only appear on pages explaining why the promise is not credible.
- Any price presented as our offer. Prices on this site are manufacturer advertised lease examples, attributed and dated. Editorial pages never hard-code a current offer, because a published payment with no expiry date rots into bait; they link the live board instead.
- Invented statistics, money factors, residual percentages, fee amounts, or leasing-company policy terms. If we cannot source a number, we describe the range and say what it depends on.
- Stale subsidy claims. The federal EV lease credit ended for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, and no page here may imply otherwise.
- Fabricated reviews, testimonials, or ratings of any kind.
- Any suggestion that we can remove, repair, or erase items from your credit report. We cannot, and neither can anyone who tells you otherwise.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know. Send the page and the problem to editorial@completecarlease.com. We aim to respond within five business days, and we correct errors on the page rather than quietly deleting them.
How our business model affects what you read
A dealer pays us when we introduce a shopper to them. That is our only revenue, and it creates an obvious incentive: we benefit when you decide to lease.
Two rules exist because of that incentive. First, dealers pay for introductions, never for placement or favourable coverage, and deal rankings follow the advertised numbers. Second, pages covering distress — payments you cannot make, totaled cars, repossession, a lease signed in regret — carry no calls to action at all. If the honest answer to your question is to buy instead, keep your current car, or walk away from a deal, our pages say so.
The full explanation is on how we make money.
